Ford Ranger Gets Reprieve

Ford has come with a strategy of manufacturing a new truck, which extends the life of Ford Ranger midsize pickup. Ford Ranger gets reprieve for the last few manufacturing defects.

Ford Suffers $8.7-Billion Loss

Ford wishes to manufacture smaller cars with good fuel efficiency; while validating this strategy, Ford will shift its hi-fi model SUV truck to a car model in 2010.

The Ford Motors have not got their earnings up to their expectations as they released their 2nd quarter financial reports with a loss of $8.7-billion.

These miserable financial results affected Ford Motors and now they are working on a plan to realign the thoughts. Now, Ford is looking to manufacture smaller cars with good fuel efficiency, keeping the increase in the prices of gas and diesel in mind. In turn, Ford doesn’t want to get bad results in selling truck and SUV’s.

Change in Manufacturing Facility

After the bad results in it’s the 2nd quarter financial year, Ford decided to transfer the three truck plants small car manufacturing plants. Michigan truck plant located in Wayne is the first plant to manufacture the large size SUV’S. After some time, Ford plans to start its production of compact vehicles in Michigan plant. The SUV truck manufacturing will however not be affected by this.
