The company wants to experience the usage at high blends to control intrinsic high octane rating of alcohol. It is also used to generate ethanol-petrol that blends with augmented octane numbers.

At this point of time, ethanol is getting blended into the petrol blend-stock with low octane rating. However, higher octane rate can be used in the mid-level ethanol to increase the least octane number.

It is also supposed that both methanol and ethanol have performance problems in petrol blends. For instance, they are potentially higher and have lower energy density as well as distorted cleansing properties. However, the motor octane number and high octane number is an additional advantage. Octane number directly reflects the ability of resisting, which inturn results in premature auto-ignition.

So, the higher octane numbers will definitely enable the thermal efficiency and also have more downsizing and aggressive turbo-charging, helping the present engines with aggressive spark timing in different conditions.

For instance, increase in blend-stock RON right from 82 to 92 will influence or increase the higher RON in E10 with added ethanol content. E10 is increased from 92.5 to 95.6 with this additional ethanol.
